5 Things You Can Learn From PMKVY Courses
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY Courses) is an ambitious skill training scheme of NDA government. It is a scheme launched by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on 15 July 2015 to skill the Indian youth and make them capable of working. The central government provides skill training courses in various industrial verticals through authorised training centers.
The candidates who are trained at the training center are also provided with some special projects to increase their learning process. This helps to further training in some special fields and areas, premises of Government or corporate. Such projects improve their skills and learn in a more practical manner. Various training center provides various training courses in various fields of PMKVY.
1. Short Term Training
The Short Term Training provided at PMKVY Training Centres is expected to benefit candidates of Indian nationality who are unemployed. Apart from providing training according to National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), Training Centres also impart training in the Entrepreneurship and Financial.
Upon successful completion of their courses, candidates shall be provided placement assistance by Training Partners (TPs). Under PMKVY, the entire training is paid by the Government.
2. Special Projects
The Special Projects part of PMKVY visualises the creation of a platform that will facilitate training in special areas of Government bodies, Corporates, and training in special job roles not defined under the available Qualification Packs /National Occupational Standards (NOSs). Special Projects have required some deviation from the terms and conditions of Short Term Training under the PMKVY Courses for any stakeholder.
3. Kaushal and Rozgar Mela
Social and community are extremely critical for the success of PMKVY. Active participation of the community ensures transparency and accountability and helps in supporting the cumulative knowledge of the community for better functioning. PMKVY Courses allows special importance to the involvement of target beneficiaries through a defined mobilisation process. Training Partners conduct Kaushal and Rozgar Mela every six months with media coverage they are also required to participate actively in the National Career Service mela and on-ground activities.
4. Placement Guidelines
PMKVY Courses envisages to link the aspiration, aptitude and knowledge of the skilled workforce it creates with employment opportunities and demands in the market. Under the Scheme, Every effort thereby needs to be made by the PMKVY Training Center to provide placement opportunities to candidates trained and certified. Training Center Ps shall also provide support to entrepreneurship development.
5. Monitoring Guidelines
To assure that the high standards of quality are maintained by the PMKVY Training Centers, NSDC and empaneled Inspection Agencies will use various methodologies, such as self-audit reporting, surprise visits, call validations and monitoring through the Skills Development Management System (SDMS). These methods will be enhanced with the engagement of latest technologies.
